Membership is open to:
(a) All members of Auchi Polytechnic Christian Alumni Association (APCAA) and their immediate family members.
(b) The General public on the recommendation of either a member of the Cooperative or a member of the alumni association.

Membership is secured as follows:
  1. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of N5,000 to the society’s account below:

  2. Submission of a duly completed application form along with 2 passport photographs to the registered address below:

 EQUITY SHARE HOLDING

Membership is secured by the payment of N60,500(fifty five thousand Naira) only to the society’s nominated account.

THRIFT CONTRIBUTION
Every member is at liberty to decide his/her monthly contribution provided it not less than N5,000 per month and N60,000 per year.
LOANS
Loans will be availed to members whose loan request/s satisfy the terms and conditions stipulated in the bye laws.

This product is designed to help co-operators as well as members of the public to save money for intended high priority projects.

Special features are as indicated below:

  • Minimum initial deposit is N50,000 while subsequent minimum monthly deposit N10,000
  • Account operation is optional (Sole, Joint, team representation)
  • No restriction on type of projects. Each subscriber is at liberty to choose his or her project of interest. E.g. buy land, car, school fees, rent, wedding expense, etc.
  • Targeted amount is at the discretion of the subscriber.
  • Tenor and maturity date are at the discretion of the subscriber
  • Savings may be terminated before maturity with at least 3 working days’ notice.
  • Savings may be lumpsum or periodic at the discretion of the subscriber
  • Up to 80% of balance on account could be used as collateral for CO-OP loan provided loan principal and accrued interest will not exceed 95% of account balance at repayment due date.
  • Partial withdrawal is allowed only once in a quarter.
  • Interest rate to be decided and reviewed by Management Committee periodically to match competitive rates offered by commercial banks
  • Interest payment will be computed quarterly i.e. 4 times per annum.

This product is designed to help co-operators as well as members of the public to invest surplus funds to secure quality returns

Special features are as indicated below:

  • Minimum deposit of N100,000 (amount may be increased at will with  N50,000 and above at any time, and duration may be extended at will)
  • Minimum Tenor is 90 days.
  • Interest rate highly competitive/better than rates offered by leading commercial banks.
  • Interest to be capitalised on maturity unless the subscribers wishes to discontinue with its rollover.
  • Account operation is optional (Sole, Joint, team representation)
  • Part Withdrawal or termination before maturity will be subject to 5% penalty on accrued interest
  • Initial Investment may be increased by additional deposits as indicated in (a) above
  • Up to 80% of balance on account could be used as collateral for CO-OP loan provided loan principal and accrued interest will not exceed 95% of account balance at repayment due date.

This product is designed to help co-operators who receive regular salaries from being in employment in highly stable entities to acquire goods of their choice at pocket friendly interest rates.

  • Loan tenor will be a maximum of 6 months form date of drawdown
  • Co-operator to specify choice item and provide open and fair market price via a proforma invoice.
  • Co-operator to contribute a minimum of 30% of cost of item cost to point of delivery.
  • Co-operator must have maintained regular thrift contribution for at least 3 consecutive months prior to loan request and must maintain monthly thrift contribution throughout the period the loan or any part thereof remains unpaid.
  • Loan amount should not be more than 80% of balance in thrift savings account or shortfall may be secured against balance in Target Savings Account (TSA) of Special Investment Seed Account (SISA). Otherwise It should be secured by 2 guarantors.
  • Aggregate monthly global repayment to all loans by the requestor should not be more than 33% of monthly take home.
  • Product quality and warranty issues will be the responsibility of the co-operator.
  • Loan must be fully liquidated before the requestor can apply for any other type of loan
  • Repayment will be via deduction at source and remittance of amount deducted by employer to CO-OP bank account
  • Requestor will issue duly executed post-dated cheques in favour of COOP for periodic instalment repayment pre-loan amount drawdown
  • Priority standing order to be executed in favour of COOP with the bankers pre-loan amount drawdown
  • Any default on instalment due date will attract a penalty of additional 5% p.m. on outstanding principal. Should there be a repayment default, all costs associated with recovery will be the responsibly of the requestor (litigation and other logistics etc costs)

President

God-dey Ikekhuah is the president of the Co-operative Society. He is a fellow of the Institute of chartered accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in geology and Master’s Degree in Managerial Psychology (MMP) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He has over 30 years work experience that spans across Professional Accounting Practice, Banking and Oil and Gas industry upstream. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles in the corporate sector, church setting and Christian groups and participated in different committees in APCAA. He is married and blessed with children.

Vice President

Lawrence Fregene is the vice president of the Cooperative Society. He holds a Higher National Diploma Certificate  in Chemical Engineering from Auchi Polytechnic.

General Secretary

Mrs Juliet Jaitto-Johnson

Asst. General Secretary

Odele Bessie Queen, is the Assistant General Secretary of the co-operative society. She a graduate of Auchi Polytechnic and holds an HND certificate in Quantity Surveying, as well a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Peace and Conflict Resolution. She has over 27 years work experience which includes working with private sector companies and Delta State Unified Local Government Service. Her work exposure covered attending to staff maters, handling of the organisation’s bank transactions, community and public relations and participation in project management. She has been very active in the Alumni association for very many years, and have held leadership position as Treasurer, in both Warri Chapter and National exco as well and General Secretary position in the National exco up on till August 2019. She is blessed with children and very passionate about the growth of APCAA. She is active in similar cooperatives and comes with a rich experience in handling cooperative affairs.

Financial Secretary

Johnson Osarumwense  Omoruyi  is the financial secretary of the Cooperative Society

Asst. Financial Secretary

Godwin Akugbe Iyamu is the assistant financial secretary of the association. He holds a higher National Diploma certification from  Auchi Polytechnic.

Treasurer

Davidson Osagie Omozokpia is the treasurer of the Co-operative society. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration from Auchi Polytechnic, and a bachelor of science Degree in Economic Education from Babcock University in Nigeria.  He has a post graduate Diploma degree and Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from Enugu State University of Technology. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and has more than 25 year working experience in banking. He has been a standing member of Auchi Polytechnic Christian Alumni Association (APCAA) from inception and member of the board of trustees of the association and enjoys a blessed marriage.
